Export Health Certification
Official Veterinarian services for the certification of Products of Animal Origin (POAO) exported to non-EU markets.
We provide export health certification in accordance with UK legislation and importing country requirements, supporting exporters, manufacturers, and logistics providers across the certification process.
What is an EHC?
An Export Health Certificate (EHC) is an official legal document that confirms an export consignment of animal products or animal by-products meets the health, safety, and hygiene requirements of the destination country.
An Export Health Certificate (EHC), issued via the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and signed by an Official Veterinarian, confirms that a consignment meets the animal health and public health requirements of the importing country.
Each certificate is specific to the product, destination, and conditions of export.
We provide certification for a wide range of products, including:
- meat and meat products
- dairy products
- fish and fish products
- animal by-products (ABPs)
- composite products
- other Products of Animal Origin (POAO)
EHC Online
Export Health Certificates are issued through the UK government’s EHC Online system, which enables exporters to apply for certification electronically.
